He was talking about Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH) and the story of their own retired ER doc Stephen Guffanti when he was a patient there. How did Sarasota Memorial treat one of their own doctors? Fast forward to 2024 and the upcoming August 20 SMH Hospital Board race. Dr. Stephen Guffanti (who miraculously survived as an SMH patient) is back on the playing field, joined by Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser and Mary Flynn O’Neill, sister of General Michael Flynn. They want the focus to be on patient care not big money and big pharma. They’re running for the board. Did you know there are no doctors on SMH board? That’s crazy. But there are plenty of big donors, who have poured a quarter of a million dollars into this SMH election and recruited Dems to switch parties and corrupt the Republican primary.
