CDC Warns ’21 States Infected With Measles’

The CDC issued a warning that measles is spreading throughout the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention specifically cited 21 states as being places whereas the illness has been reported.

The states cited are as follows: Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.

The CDC also says that measles cases are ahead of the 2017 pace. 2017 had 118 total cases of measles with 86 just a year prior.

The CDC says that some individuals may suffer more severe complications, such as brain swelling.

Many pro-vaccine and state officials advocates are attempting to “make measles happen,” at least as a media narrative, as a way to push for mandatory vaccine laws.
